About Pavamana Homam
Pavamana Homam uses the Pavamana Suktams of the Rig Veda, hymns chanted for purification. It is traditionally performed to purify a home, a person or a place, for example after a long illness, after a bereavement or before an important ceremony. The priest chants the Pavamana hymns while offering ghee and samidhas into the fire.
