About Sri Sukta Homam
Sri Sukta Homam is built on the Sri Suktam, the Rig Vedic hymn to Goddess Lakshmi. It is traditionally performed on Fridays, full moon days or Deepavali, and at new homes or businesses, praying for prosperity, grace and abundance. Each verse of the Sri Suktam is chanted with an offering of ghee, lotus seeds or payasam into the fire.
