About Mahalakshmi Homam
Mahalakshmi Homam is a fire ritual dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth, abundance and well-being. It is commonly performed on Fridays, during Navaratri or Deepavali, or at a new home or business, praying for prosperity and harmony in the family. Lotus flowers, ghee and sweets are offered into the fire while the Lakshmi mantras and Sri Suktam are chanted.
