तदित्यनभिसन्धाय फलं यज्ञतपःक्रियाः ।
दानक्रियाश्च विविधाः क्रियन्ते मोक्षकाङ्क्षि ॥
తదిత్యనభిసన్ధాయ ఫలం యజ్ఞతపఃక్రియాః ।
దానక్రియాశ్చ వివిధాః క్రియన్తే మోక్షకాఙ్క్షి ॥
tadityanabhisandhāya phalaṃ yajñatapaḥkriyāḥ |
dānakriyāśca vividhāḥ kriyante mokṣakāṅkṣi ||
About chapter 17
Arjuna asks about those who worship with faith but without following scripture. Krishna explains that faith takes the colour of one’s nature — sattvic, rajasic or tamasic — and shows how the same three qualities appear in food, sacrifice, austerity and charity. He closes with the meaning of “Om Tat Sat”, which sanctifies every act of worship.
