तत्सदिति निर्देशो ब्रह्मणस्त्रिविधः स्मृतः ।
ब्राह्मणास्तेन वेदाश्च यज्ञाश्च विहिताः पुरा ॥
తత్సదితి నిర్దేశో బ్రహ్మణస్త్రివిధః స్మృతః ।
బ్రాహ్మణాస్తేన వేదాశ్చ యజ్ఞాశ్చ విహితాః పురా ॥
tatsaditi nirdeśo brahmaṇastrividhaḥ smṛtaḥ |
brāhmaṇāstena vedāśca yajñāśca vihitāḥ purā ||
About chapter 17
Arjuna asks about those who worship with faith but without following scripture. Krishna explains that faith takes the colour of one’s nature — sattvic, rajasic or tamasic — and shows how the same three qualities appear in food, sacrifice, austerity and charity. He closes with the meaning of “Om Tat Sat”, which sanctifies every act of worship.
