About New Vehicle Pooja
New Vehicle Pooja (Vahana Pooja) is performed when bringing home a new car, bike or commercial vehicle, praying for safe journeys. The vehicle is washed and decorated, and the priest performs Ganapathi puja, applies turmeric and kumkum, ties a sacred thread and breaks a coconut or lemons before its first drive. It is usually done on an auspicious day and time.
