New Business Pooja is performed before opening a shop, office or company, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi for a smooth start. It is done on an auspicious muhurtham from the panchangam, often with Kubera puja and the worship of account books and the cash box. The ritual usually includes Ganapathi puja, Lakshmi puja, Navagraha puja and aarti.
