About chapter 8
Arjuna asks about Brahman, the Self, karma and the moment of death. Krishna teaches that whatever one remembers at the end of life, one attains; so one should remember him at all times while doing one’s duty. He describes the chanting of Om, the cycles of creation (the days and nights of Brahma), and the two paths by which souls depart.
