About chapter 5
Arjuna asks which is better: renouncing action or performing it. Krishna answers that both lead to the goal, but selfless action is easier and better. One who acts without attachment, offering the work to God, is untouched by sin, like a lotus leaf by water. The wise see the same Self in a learned person, a cow, an elephant and a dog, and find lasting peace within.
