About chapter 18
The final chapter brings the whole teaching together. Krishna explains true renunciation as giving up attachment to the fruits of action, describes how the three qualities shape knowledge, action, intellect and happiness, and teaches that doing one’s own duty is worship. He gives his final instruction — to surrender to him alone (18.66) — and Arjuna, his doubts gone, rises to do his duty.
