About chapter 15
Krishna describes the world as an eternal aśvattha tree with its roots above and branches below, which must be cut with the axe of detachment. The soul is an eternal part of him. He is the light of the sun and moon, the digestive fire in all beings, and the one known through all the Vedas. Beyond the perishable and the imperishable, he is Puruṣottama, the Supreme Person.
