About Vishnu Sahasranama Pooja
Vishnu Sahasranama Pooja is the worship of Lord Vishnu with the chanting of his thousand names from the Mahabharata. It is commonly performed on Ekadashi, Thursdays and Saturdays and on Vaikuntha Ekadashi, often with a tulasi archana for each name. Families perform it praying for peace, health and the well-being of the household.
