About Rudrabhishekam Pooja
Rudrabhishekam is the ritual bathing of the Shiva linga with water, milk, curd, honey, ghee and other sacred substances while the Sri Rudram is chanted. It is traditionally performed on Mondays, Pradosham, Maha Shivaratri and during Karthika masam and Shravan. Devotees perform it praying for peace, health and relief from difficulties.
