About this aarti
Om Jai Jagdish Hare is the best-known aarti in North India, sung at the end of almost every puja. It was written in the 1870s by Pandit Shardha Ram Phillauri and is addressed to Vishnu as Jagdish, the lord of the universe.

ॐ जय जगदीश हरे, स्वामी जय जगदीश हरे।
भक्त जनों के संकट, दास जनों के संकट, क्षण में दूर करे॥తెలుగు లిపిలో

Bhakt janon ke sankat, daas janon ke sankat, kshan mein door kare.Victory to you, Hari, lord of the universe, who in a moment removes the troubles of your devotees and servants.
जो ध्यावे फल पावे, दुःख बिनसे मन का, स्वामी दुःख बिनसे मन का।
सुख सम्पति घर आवे, कष्ट मिटे तन का॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
జో ధ్యావే ఫల పావే, దుఃఖ బినసే మన కా, స్వామీ దుఃఖ బినసే మన కా।
సుఖ సమ్పతి ఘర ఆవే, కష్ట మిటే తన కా॥Jo dhyaave phal paave, dukh binse man ka,
Sukh sampati ghar aave, kasht mite tan ka.Whoever meditates on you is rewarded; the sorrows of the mind vanish, happiness and prosperity come home, and bodily suffering ends.
मात पिता तुम मेरे, शरण गहूं मैं किसकी, स्वामी शरण गहूं मैं किसकी।
तुम बिन और न दूजा, आस करूं मैं जिसकी॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
మాత పితా తుమ మేరే, శరణ గహూం మైం కిసకీ, స్వామీ శరణ గహూం మైం కిసకీ।
తుమ బిన ఔర న దూజా, ఆస కరూం మైం జిసకీ॥Maat pita tum mere, sharan gahoon main kiski,
Tum bin aur na dooja, aas karoon main jiski.You are my mother and father — in whom else should I take refuge? There is no one but you in whom I can place my hope.
तुम पूरण परमात्मा, तुम अन्तर्यामी, स्वामी तुम अन्तर्यामी।
पारब्रह्म परमेश्वर, तुम सब के स्वामी॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
తుమ పూరణ పరమాత్మా, తుమ అన్తర్యామీ, స్వామీ తుమ అన్తర్యామీ।
పారబ్రహ్మ పరమేశ్వర, తుమ సబ కే స్వామీ॥Tum pooran Paramatma, tum antaryami,
Parabrahm Parameshwar, tum sab ke swami.You are the complete Supreme Self who dwells within all; the transcendent Brahman, the supreme lord, master of all.
तुम करुणा के सागर, तुम पालनकर्ता, स्वामी तुम पालनकर्ता।
मैं मूरख फलकामी, मैं सेवक तुम स्वामी, कृपा करो भर्ता॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
తుమ కరుణా కే సాగర, తుమ పాలనకర్తా, స్వామీ తుమ పాలనకర్తా।
మైం మూరఖ ఫలకామీ, మైం సేవక తుమ స్వామీ, కృపా కరో భర్తా॥Tum karuna ke saagar, tum paalankarta,
Main moorakh phalkaami, main sevak tum swami, kripa karo bharta.You are an ocean of compassion and the sustainer of all. I am foolish and seek rewards; I am your servant and you my master — be gracious, O protector.
तुम हो एक अगोचर, सबके प्राणपति, स्वामी सबके प्राणपति।
किस विधि मिलूं दयामय, तुमको मैं कुमति॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
తుమ హో ఏక అగోచర, సబకే ప్రాణపతి, స్వామీ సబకే ప్రాణపతి।
కిస విధి మిలూం దయామయ, తుమకో మైం కుమతి॥Tum ho ek agochar, sabke praanpati,
Kis vidhi miloon dayamay, tumko main kumati.You are the one beyond the senses, lord of every life. How can I, of poor understanding, reach you, O merciful one?
दीन-बन्धु दुःख-हर्ता, ठाकुर तुम मेरे, स्वामी रक्षक तुम मेरे।
अपने हाथ उठाओ, अपने शरण लगाओ, द्वार पड़ा तेरे॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
దీన-బన్ధు దుఃఖ-హర్తా, ఠాకుర తుమ మేరే, స్వామీ రక్షక తుమ మేరే।
అపనే హాథ ఉఠాఓ, అపనే శరణ లగాఓ, ద్వార పడ఼ా తేరే॥Deen-bandhu dukh-harta, Thakur tum mere,
Apne haath uthao, apni sharan lagao, dwaar pada tere.Friend of the humble, remover of sorrow, you are my lord and protector. Raise your hand, take me into your refuge — I lie at your door.
विषय-विकार मिटाओ, पाप हरो देवा, स्वामी पाप हरो देवा।
श्रद्धा भक्ति बढ़ाओ, संतन की सेवा॥తెలుగు లిపిలో
విషయ-వికార మిటాఓ, పాప హరో దేవా, స్వామీ పాప హరో దేవా।
శ్రద్ధా భక్తి బఢ఼ాఓ, సంతన కీ సేవా॥Vishay-vikaar mitao, paap haro Deva,
Shraddha bhakti badhao, santan ki seva.Remove my worldly cravings and faults, take away my sins, O Lord; increase my faith and devotion and my service of the saints.

At the end of any puja, especially Vishnu and Satyanarayan pujas, morning and evening.
