Which sign should I read — sun sign or moon sign?
Vedic rashifal is read by your moon sign (janma rashi): the sign the Moon was in when you were born. If you do not know it, your family panchang or an astrologer can find it from your date, time and place of birth.
How is today’s rashifal worked out?
From the day’s real planetary positions: each graha’s transit (gochar) is counted from your moon sign and read by the classical rules for which houses are favourable. The Moon moves a sign every two and a half days, so it colours the day most. Where one of our astrologers has written a prediction for your sign, it appears alongside.
What is Chandrashtama?
The two to three days when the Moon transits the eighth sign from your moon sign. Traditionally they are not chosen for new beginnings, long journeys or important decisions.
