Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu

About this mantra

From the fifth chapter of the Durga Saptashati, these verses praise the goddess as present in every being — as power, as mother, as intelligence and as peace.

Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu

1. या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता।
   नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

   తెలుగు లిపిలో

   యా దేవీ సర్వభూతేషు శక్తిరూపేణ సంస్థితా।
   నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమో నమః॥

   yā devī sarvabhūteṣu śaktirūpeṇa saṃsthitā|
   namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ||

   To the goddess who dwells in all beings as power — salutations to her, salutations, salutations again and again.

2. या देवी सर्वभूतेषु मातृरूपेण संस्थिता।
   नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

   తెలుగు లిపిలో

   యా దేవీ సర్వభూతేషు మాతృరూపేణ సంస్థితా।
   నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమో నమః॥

   yā devī sarvabhūteṣu mātṛrūpeṇa saṃsthitā|
   namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ||

   To the goddess who dwells in all beings as the mother — salutations to her again and again.

3. या देवी सर्वभूतेषु बुद्धिरूपेण संस्थिता।
   नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

   తెలుగు లిపిలో

   యా దేవీ సర్వభూతేషు బుద్ధిరూపేణ సంస్థితా।
   నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమో నమః॥

   namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ||

   To the goddess who dwells in all beings as intelligence — salutations to her again and again.

4. या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शान्तिरूपेण संस्थिता।
   नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

   యా దేవీ సర్వభూతేషు శాన్తిరూపేణ సంస్థితా।
   నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమస్తస్యై నమో నమః॥

   yā devī sarvabhūteṣu śāntirūpeṇa saṃsthitā|
   namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ||

   To the goddess who dwells in all beings as peace — salutations to her again and again.

When to recite

Daily during Navratri, and at any Devi puja.
